Imogen Stidworthy

Imogen Stidworthy is an artist interested in language and the voice, which she works with as physical and spatial material. Stidworthy’s previous solo exhibitions include Imperial War Museum, London (2015); Kunstpavilion Innsbruck, Austria (2010); Arnolfini, Bristol (2010); FRAC Bourgogne, Dijon, France (2005); Netherlands Film Museum, Amsterdam (2002) and Spacex Gallery, Exeter (2000). She has participated in the Sao Paulo Bienale, Bergen Assembly, Busan Biennial, Liverpool Biennial and Documenta 12. In 2008, her curatorial project Die Lucky Bush was presented at Museum of Contemporary Art, Antwerp, Netherlands. Her work has been commissioned by RADAR, Loughborough University, FACT, Liverpool, English Heritage with the National Trust and Film London (with Spacex, Exeter and LUX, London) for distribution in cinemas across the UK in 2006. She studied at Jan van Eyck Academy, Maastricht, Netherlands and West Surrey College of Art and Design.
